It is very seldom that mere ordinary people like John and myself secure ancestral halls for the summer.
A colonial mansion, a hereditary estate, I would say a haunted house, and reach the height of romantic felicity—but that would be asking too much of fate!
Still I will proudly declare that there is something queer about it.

John laughs at me, of course, but one expects that in marriage.
John is practical in the extreme. He has no patience with faith, an intense horror of superstition, and he scoffs openly at any talk of things not to be felt and seen and put down in figures.
John is a physician, and perhaps—(I would not say it to a living soul, of course, but this is dead paper and a great relief to my mind)—perhaps that is one reason I do not get well faster.

A book is not instant. Narrating a full-length manuscript takes a while — a long novel is hours of audio, and it is produced chapter by chapter. Rendering runs in the background, so you can close the tab and come back. The progress bar shows the percentage done and roughly how long is left, measured from your book’s own render speed.
You are never charged for a book you don’t get. Credits are debited when you confirm the quote, and refunded in full, automatically, if a render fails on our side. Why this and not free
You keep the files
Amazon will narrate a Kindle book for nothing, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The catch is what you get: the audio lives inside their store, sells only there, and needs an existing Kindle title before you can start. We are the other trade — you pay for the render, and the audiobook comes back to you as files nobody else controls.

You receive an M4B with chapter markers and every chapter as its own MP3. Not a stream, not a licence to listen — the actual files.
Sell them anywhere
Kobo, Spotify, Findaway, Patreon, your own store, a bundle with the ebook. We take no cut of a sale and claim no exclusivity.
Your manuscript is not training data
Your text is narrated and nothing else. It is stored privately, it is never listed or indexed by us, and it never trains a model.

There is an entire audience that will never read your book, because they don’t read books. They listen on a commute, at the gym, doing the dishes. For them, a book without an audio edition simply does not exist — and the edition that doesn’t exist earns nothing, every month, forever.

On the roadmap
Narrate it in your own voice
Some authors want to narrate their own book and cannot face forty hours in a booth. We are building for that: record a minute of yourself reading, and the book gets narrated in a clone of your voice. The recorder and the consent capture are already in the app, and cloned voices are private to your account.
Not available for book rendering yet. Books are narrated with our stock voices today. Do not buy credits expecting to render in a cloned voice — when it ships, it will be announced, not assumed.

The four things everyone wants to know
- Does it actually sound good?
- Don’t take our word for it. Preview any chapter of your own book, in any voice, before you spend a credit. Previews are free and unmetered — if it doesn’t sound right, you have lost nothing but the upload.
- What if the chapters come out wrong?
- You see the detected chapters before anything is narrated, and you can rename, merge, split or drop any of them. Nothing is charged until the table of contents is the one you meant.
- What if the render fails?
- Your credits come back automatically, in full. Not a support ticket, not a goodwill gesture — a refund the code performs, and one we test on purpose by making renders fail.
- Who owns the result?
- You do. You get an M4B with chapter markers and every chapter as its own MP3. We take no cut, claim no exclusivity, and your manuscript never trains a model.
