Credits are the only thing you buy, and a book spends them by its real character count — so the quote you see before you confirm is the exact amount charged, not an estimate. Anything that fails on our side is refunded in full, automatically, not on request.
New accounts get 200 credits — about 100,000 characters of manuscript, or ~1.8 hours of finished audio. Chapter previews are free on top of that. No card required.

Credits do not expire, and your book's cost is exact, not estimated: 2 credits per 1,000 characters of your manuscript, computed from the real character count before any audio is rendered — you see the true price, not a guess, before you confirm.

These are examples, not fixed tiers — your quote is computed from your manuscript's actual character count, shown before you confirm. Bold figures are at the best pack rate ($0.02/credit); the line beneath each is the retail quote you'd see without a pack. Smaller packs cost more per credit — the exact figure is on each card above.

Our failures cost you nothing
Credits are debited when you confirm the quote, and refunded in full, automatically, if a render fails on our side or you cancel it. A manuscript we cannot read never gets as far as a charge: parsing happens before any quote, and a file that fails to parse costs nothing.
You keep the files
A finished book is delivered as an M4B with chapter markers plus the individual chapter MP3s. No exclusivity, no store lock-in, and no cut of what you sell — list it on Kobo, Spotify, Findaway, Patreon, or your own site.
No subscription, and credits do not expire
Nothing recurring is charged and there is no use-it-or-lose-it window. You buy a pack when you want one, and nothing bills you in between.
Previews are free
Hearing a chapter in a narration voice costs nothing and is not metered, so you can settle on a voice before you spend a credit.
